C.H.S.C.A. ALL-STATE ACADEMIC WRESTLING TEAM QUALIFICATIONS
- The student-athlete must have earned an 85% or higher academic
average in the previous marking period; an additional requirement is that no course
grade be below an 80%.
- The student-athlete must have placed in the top six places
of the C.I.A.C. Divisional Meets.
- The student-athlete must have maintained the highest level
of behavioral discipline in the eyes of the school’s administration.
- The student-athlete must have maintained the highest level

PROCEDURES
- An application must be completed listing the following:
Each of the wrestler's courses and the grade received in each course.
An overall average computed for the previous marking period. This section should
be completed by the student’s guidance counselor and signed by that counselor.
- The coach must sign the section referring to the student-athlete’s athletic success
and the level of sportsmanship displayed.
- The High School Principal must sign verifying the validity of the information
provided and the candidate having maintained an outstanding code of conduct.

- All student-athletes who meet the listed criteria will be on the Academic All-State
Team.
Certification will be awarded at the C.H.S.C.A. Wrestling Committee Banquet
to be held at the Aqua Turf Club, Southington. There is no limit to the number of
tickets that may be purchased. This year the award recipients must pay for their
meals, but if this concept proves to be a success, funding in future years may be
